- Mr. Alvarez has been a FBI certified full time examiner for 10 years and has successfully completed over 2,000 Federally certified polygraph examinations to include; pre-employment backgrounds, Govt classified security clearances, counter-intelligence, espionage, terrorism, informant validation, witness protection program vetting, international law enforcement task force vetting, and various criminal examinations for the FBI and other law enforcement agencies. All of these examinations were conducted under stringent quality control by FBI Headquarters pursuant to Federal Polygraph Quality Controls.
- Mr. Alvarez was also assigned as an temporary Acting Supervisory Special Agent to the FBI Polygraph Unit (Washington DC) reviewing and conducting quality control measures of other FBI examiners.
- Some of the criminal examinations Mr. Alvarez successfully conducted ranged from homicides, gang violence, sexual assaults, missing persons and children, kidnappings, interstate theft, mortgage fraud, public corruption, terrorism, production of child pornography, and child molestation.
- Mr. Alvarez was a highly rated FBI certified instructor of Interview and Interrogation to FBI Special Agents, state and local law enforcement investigators.
- Keep in mind, there are some limits to polygraph in some work places due to the Employee Polygraph Protection Act (EPPA 1988). The Act does however permit polygraph testing of certain employees of private firms who are suspected of involvement in a workplace incident (theft, embezzlement, etc.) which resulted in specific economic loss and/or injury to the employer.
