Selecting a Polygraph Examiner
- Check the credentials of any examiner you plan to work with. Mr. Alvarez is a Federally Certified full time Polygraph Examiner with 10 years of experience with the FBI and graduated from the internationally renowned National Center of Credibility Assessment (NCCA) which trains and certifies all FBI, CIA, NSA, US Secret Service, and Military polygraph examiners. All graduates must have a 4 year college degree, federal background check, security clearance, and complete 14 weeks of intense polygraph training to graduate. NCCA is considered the most academically demanding and superior polygraph training center in the U.S.
- There is no licensing to be a polygraph examiner in California. Verify that any examiner you plan to work with is a member of the American Polygraph Association (APA), California Association of Polygraph Examiners (CAPE), or any other professional organization that has standards for operations, continued education/training, and ethics. Mr. Alvarez is a member of each of the above professional polygraph associations as well as the CA Association of Licensed (private) Investigators.
